At ASS CATHO CHEFS DE FAMILLE, voluntary engagement is the lifeblood of our civic mission. Every delegate, mentor, and companion freely contributes their time to strengthen household resilience and community life across Brittany.

Why Volunteer with an Association Loi 1901?

Voluntary service (le bénévolat) occupies a revered position in the social and legal fabric of the French Republic. Under the Law of 1 July 1901, volunteering offers citizens a direct avenue for democratic participation outside electoral politics and commercial employment. When you volunteer with ASS CATHO CHEFS DE FAMILLE, your effort is directly invested into the moral vitality, social security, and intergenerational harmony of our Breton communities.

We welcome household heads, educators, retirees, parents, and civic-minded adults who share our dedication to family dignity, childhood protection, and neighborly mutual aid. Whether you can dedicate two hours per month or multiple days per week, your skills will find purposeful application within our structured operational divisions.

Four Primary 2026 Volunteer Action Roles

To provide clarity of responsibility and mutual accountability, our association structures voluntary participation into four distinct roles:

Civic Representation

1. Municipal Family Delegate

Commitment: 4–6 hours per month

Attend public municipal council meetings in your commune, review public notices regarding schools, playgrounds, and transport, and represent family interests before mayors and councilors. Comprehensive training on local administrative procedures is provided.

Pedagogical Support

2. Parental Workshop Facilitator

Commitment: 3–5 hours per month

Co-facilitate monthly parent discussion circles, coordinate reading circles, and share practical advice on establishing healthy digital boundaries and moral resilience in the home. Ideal for educators, pediatric health workers, or experienced parents.

Social Solidarity

3. Senior Visiting Companion

Commitment: 2–4 hours per week

Conduct regular home visits to isolated elderly residents in rural hamlets, provide friendly conversation, assist with non-medical domestic errands, and participate in our oral history preservation projects.

Ecological Action

4. Community Workday Steward

Commitment: 1 Saturday per month

Lead family volunteer teams during monthly outdoor conservation days, maintaining public paths, restoring heritage stone walls, and managing community botanical plots across the Jugon valley.
